City Parks

City Parks are also available for reservation for groups or individuals. Most have outdoor pavilions and many have restroom facilities (open during warmer months). There are two indoor pavilions available for reservation. For additional information about reserving a City Park or Pavilion for your activity and current pricing, contact the Parks Department at 801-568-2900. See Park details below.

City Pavilions

Pavilion reservations may be made 6 months in advance for the date requested. If the date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, you may come in on the preceding Friday. Reservations can be made online or in person at the Parks & Rec Office. Non-Sandy residents will be charged an additional fee to reserve a pavilion. To reserve a pavilion in person, please visit our office at 440 East 8680 South Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information please call 801-568-2900.

PAVILION RESERVATIONS

Pavilion Reservations can be made online or in person at the Parks & Rec Office. Non-Sandy residents will be charged an additional fee to reserve a pavilion. To reserve a pavilion in person, please visit our office at 440 East 8680 South Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

ONLINE PAVILION RESERVATIONS

Indoor Pavilion Online Reservations can only be made a maximum of 160 days in advance! Reservations also cannot be made within 72 hours of the reservation date.

Outdoor Pavilion Online Reservations can only be reserved during April 1 through October 15. Reservations can only be made a maximum of 160 days in advance! Reservations also cannot be made within 72 hours of the reservation date.

OUTDOOR PAVILIONS

LONE PEAK INDOOR PAVILION

This beautiful indoor/outdoor facility is located at 10140 South 700 East. The facility will accommodate 230 people, seating capacity would be less, or if used as a split room will accommodate 115 per side. Tables and chairs are included with your reservation. Two outdoor pavilions (one on each side of the building) also are available for reservation. Reservations may be made up to 6 months in advance from the date requested.

BICENTENNIAL INDOOR PAVILION

This indoor/outdoor facility is located at 530 East 8680 South. The facility will accommodate 80 people. Round tables and chairs are included in your reservation. One outdoor pavilion is directly behind this indoor facility.

Playing Fields

Playing fields may be reserved two weeks in advance prior to the date reserving. Fields need to be reserved in person at 440 East 8680 South Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Non-Sandy residents will be charged an additional fee to reserve a playing field.

Parks Details

The off leash-dog park is in Sandy has been a huge success. The site is one acre fenced in with trees, benches, and a walking trail. Due to water conservation standards we will use Dwarf Tall Fescue, a type of grass that is more drought tolerant and uses 25% less water than blue grass.

Dog Park Rules

  1. Users of this facility do so at their own risk. Sandy City shall not be liable for any injury or damage caused by any dog in the off-leash area.
  2. Dog feces must be cleaned up by owners.
  3. Dog owners must be in the park and within view of their dogs (maximum of three dogs per owner).
  4. Aggressive dogs are not permitted on the premises. Dogs must be removed from the dog park at the first sign of aggression.
  5. Dog owners must have a leash in hand at all times.
  6. Keep small children and infants under strict supervision. Remember, this is a playground for dogs -- not children!
  7. Leash dogs while entering and exiting the dog park
  8. Female dogs in heat are prohibited from entering the dog park.
  9. Fill any hole your dog digs.
  10. Dogs should be under voice control.
  11. Don't bring dogs younger than four months to the park. They won't have the necessary inoculations to allow them to play safely with other dogs.
  12. Make sure your dog is current on his/her shots & has a valid dog license.
  13. Sandy City reserves the right to close the Park due to rule violations, maintenance, weather related problems and special events.

ALL DOG OWNERS WHO FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE RULES CAN BE TICKETED BY POLICE AND ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS.
