Family Night at the Skate Park - Theme Time: 6 - 8 pm
Great fun for the whole family! Family night is a great opportunity for families to enjoy the skate park. Whether your child is a skateboard pro or feels more comfortable on a scooter, roller skates, or bike, this time is family fun. We allow toddler bikes on these nights so even your smallest child can enjoy the facility. Family night runs from 6-9 pm. These events are FREE of charge! Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Location: Lone Peak Park 10140 South 700 East.

National Trails Day - Saturday, June 3 - Trail Work: 8:30 am - 12 pm
Get outside and join fellow outdoor enthusiasts on National Trails Day, to clean-up, do some maintenance work, and have fun by teaming up with Sandy Parks & Recreation to work on the designated trail. Trail Location: Bells Canyon Trail - Boulders side 10245 S.. Wasatch Blvd.

Bring your family, friends, blankets and lawn chairs while enjoying outdoor cinema at its best this summer with free family-oriented movies. It’s a perfect place to sit back and enjoy an evening under the stars. Movies begin at dusk.
Fourth of July Celebration
The Sandy City 4th of July Celebration is held on the beautiful, grassy South Towne Promenade between Sandy City Hall and the South Towne Center at 10000 S. Centennial Parkway.
The celebration begins at 7 am with the Sandy Classic 5K Race, starting at 10 am there will be a Youth Arts Festival, rides, games and a variety of food. Entertainment goes throughout the day. The parade beginning at 6 pm and the evening concert at 7:30 pm. The Grand Sky Concert fireworks display caps off the day at 10 pm.
Youth Arts Festival - Tuesday, July 4th from 10 am - 2 pm
Special 4th of July activities for ages 4 to 12 year olds. Face painting, craft stations, sand sculpting, and much more. This

Sandy Hot Air Balloon Festival - Friday/Saturday, August 11 & 12
Don’t miss Sandy’s annual hot air balloon festival. Enjoy early morning events, including crafts and balloons handed out on Saturday morning during the launch, along with a Saturday evening concert and balloon glow. Launches will be at Storm Mountain park on both days starting at 6 am. The Glow will be at the City Promenade on Saturday at 7:30 pm.
