Code Compliance

The Sandy City Code Compliance Division was formed in 1990 as part of the Community Development Department. Originally containing one part-time officer, the Division now has four full-time officers and support staff. The Code enforcement Division is charged with enforcing the Sandy City Land Development Code, and portions of the City's Municipal Code (such as weeds and junk).

With the adoption of the Sandy City Neighborhood Preservation Plan the city has been divided into four areas of enforcment.  Each of the officers has been assigned to work with residences and neighborhood groups on an individual basis to help resolve code compliance problems.
