Development Services

The Development Services section of the Planning Division coordinates the following activities:

• Reviews and processes all requests for Annexation into Sandy City
• Reviews and processes all requests for Subdivisions
• Reviews and processes all requests for Commercial Development and insures compliance with the City's Architectural Design Standards.
• Reviews and processes all Site Plan Review requests.
• Reviews and processes all requests for Conditional Use Permits.
• Reviews and processes all requests for Telecommunication Towers/Antennaes
• Reviews all Sign permit requests
• Prepares maps of the City specific to Planning Commission needs
• Update Zoning Map as amended by the City Council
• Provides technical assistance and other information to citizens
• Serves as staff to the Planning Commission (the Planning Director is the senior staff member to coordinate the Planning Commission agenda)
