Special Studies

Sandy City conducts special studies when a specific area, landuse or issue needs careful examination or analysis.  These studies help to illustrate future development scenarios and designs of public and private interest.  Some of these have been adopted as part of the City's General Plan.  The following are major special studies which have been conducted.

• Jordan River Parkway Study - Conducted February 1995
• East Bench Trailhead Plan - Conducted November 1997
• Sandy City 1300 East Corridor Study - Conducted May 1998
• Sandy City Streetscape Plan - Adopted 2003
• 9400 South 150 East Trax Station Study - Conducted 2003
• Neighborhood Preservation Plan - Adopted June 2004
