Code Amendments

Any person seeking an amendment of the Land Development Code or map shall submit a written petition designating the change desired to the Sandy City Community Development Department and shall include reasons wherein the proposed amendment would further promote the objectives and purposes of the Code and shall include the required fee. A petition shall include the following:

• A letter formally requesting an amendment to the Code and stating the reasons for the request.
• A description of proposed amendment and/or a property plat of the area of the requested zone change.
• A legal description of the property concerned.
• An accurate list of the current names and addresses of all property owners within 300 feet of the property, on mailing labels, as listed on current plat of record (for a zone change only).
• A receipt for the fee.
