Special Event Permits

There are no fees associated with this permit. It is a convenient means for residents to have special events coordinated with concerned City Departments in order to alleviate unnecessary public impacts.  Applications and site plan maps showing event locations, road closures, etc., must be submitted to the office 30 days prior to the date of the event for consideration.  Examples of events needing special event permits include but are not limited to the following:

  • Any function proposed to occur on City owned property
  • Anything that is going to occur in the public Right-of-Way and impact traffic flows and/or residents
  • Neighborhood block parties and parades
  • Carnivals, festivals, mass gatherings, fun runs

Contact Angela Snyder, Community Relations, at 801-568-7254, or Email: asnyder  for more information.
