The Megaplex 17 at Jordan Commons was built by Larry H Miller, owner of the Utah Jazz basketball team, and opened on November 5 1999. Jordan Commons, located at 9535 S. State, includes the 17-screen theater complex, the Mayan restaurant, four independently managed restaurants that includes Joe's Crab Shack, and a 10-story office building.

The Living Planet Aquarium located at 725 E. 10600 South in Sandy, gives visitors a chance to see a wide assortment of aquatic species, including tropical ocean-dwellers and fish that live in local Utah waters.

Enjoy your summer nights in the beautiful and intimate setting of the Sandy Amphitheater. Located on the corner of 9400 South and 1300 East and overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. The view is truly breathtaking as the sun sets in the west and the moon rises over the Wasatch Mountains. From June-September, the Amphitheater season includes popular local bands, well-known national and international performers as well as musical theatre and even orchestra concerts. With a capacity of 3,000 the Sandy Amphitheater has plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy an evening of music under the stars.
