Sandy City’s Emergency Management Department is responsible for the city’s comprehensive emergency management program. Activities and services cover the four phases of emergency management: Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation for disasters like flooding, wildfires, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials incidents, and acts of terrorism.

The Sandy City Citizen Corps Council
The Sandy City Citizen Corps Council is the connection between Sandy City and its residents with issues regarding emergency preparedness. Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Sandy City Hall multipurpose room on the 3rd floor. The public is invited to attend.

The Sandy City Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)
The Sandy City LEPC is the connection between Sandy City and its business partners with issues regarding emergency preparedness and hazardous materials. Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 1:30 pm in the Sandy City Hall multipurpose room on the 3rd floor. The public is invited to attend.

Homeland Security Advisory System

The Homeland Security Advisory Systems provides an effective mean to disseminate information regarding the risk of terrorist attacks to the American people.
