A permanent one (1) mile walking trail is in place around Lone Peak Park (10140 South 700 East). This is a FREE event and will be running in conjunction with Slim Down Sandy. Walkers should meet at the Skate Park at 6:30 pm.

Join us for FREE public star and sun parties. No registration is required. All parties are weather permitting. Parties are very informal events for the public to have a look at whatever might be "up there". Information is provided by the Salt Lake Astronomical Society.

STAR Parties begin at dusk and end at 11 pm. Star parties are especially well suited for those who are trying to decide what sort of telescope to buy and for those who may have recently acquired a telescope and want to learn how to use it.

Don’t miss Sandy’s 3rd annual hot air balloon festival. Enjoy early morning events along with a Saturday evening concert and balloon glow.
