Sandy City Police Department Issues Parking Permits to Residents;

To help ensure that residential neighborhood streets are not being congested by those attending events at the Rio Tinto Stadium. Eligible residents can now obtain a Parking Permit to park personal vehicles on neighborhood streets during event times.

· Who is Eligible— Residents living within the designated neighborhoods are eligible for up to two permits per household. Application for the permit will be made through the Sandy City Police Department and are offered at No Cost. The permits will be issued on an annual basis to eligible residents. At the time of application, please provide the following:

  1. Applicants name and address
  2. Current Drivers License, Utility Bill, or Property Tax Statement

Note: Any vehicle parked on the street must be licensed and registered

· How To Obtain a Permit— Permits will be issued at the Sandy City Police Department   Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We are located at 10000 S Centennial Pkwy, City Hall.  Contact us if you need additional information 801-568-7200.

· Where are the Permit Areas— The following areas will be eligible for permit parking:  (see pdf Map of areas) 

  1. All of the Wallace Heights Subdivision
  2. All of Mt. Jordan Meadows Subdivision
  3. 170 E. between 9400 S. and Sego Lily, Corrie Cir., Lynn Cir., and Brent Cir 
  4. All areas between 8800 S and 9000 S, and between State St and Center St

· Parking Enforcement— Enforcement will occur on Rio Tinto event days only.
