Requirements to Join the Explorer Program

• Be between the ages of 14 to 21.
• Have parental approval if under the age of 18.
• Be of good moral habits with no convictions for serious crimes or crimes of moral turpitude.
• Have a valid Utah drivers license by the age of 17.
• Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. while in High School.
• Attend all training meetings unless excused in advance for cause.
• Be in good physical condition.
• Pass a background check.

Uniforms are the responsibility of the recruit to purchase.

Training is held every Thursday night in the department’s training room from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
