The Sandy Club, “A Safe Place for Boys & Girls”, is a Safe Haven for children of the ages of 5 -18 to go to after school. The club’s doors open when the school doors close.

It is a priority of Sandy City to minimize danger in winter conditions and to make all public areas, including parks and roads, safe and passable as quickly as possible. The city works closely with residents during a storm to ensure that a safe environment is achieved.

This service is provided for all residents who either pay for waste collection services through Sandy City or have been annexed into Sandy City.

In order to improve safety for pedestrians, Sandy City and UDOT are working together to install a pedestrian bridge over 1300 East, south of Buttercup Drive. The bridge will provide access from Eastmont Middle School (10100 S. 1300 E.) to the Sandy library and the neighborhoods on the east side of 1300 east.

The Salt Lake County Health Department will be holding its final household hazardous waste collection event in Sandy City on Thursday July 7 from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Public Works Facility located at 8775 S 700 W.
