Sandy Pride

The Exchange Club of Sandy and Sandy City

Even though spring is just around the corner, Sandy is busy gearing up for our annual 2014 Sandy Pride on May 17. Sandy Pride is a community-wide event that helps foster a heightened community awareness and pride in Sandy neighborhoods. The spirit of the day is recognized through community cleanup programs and beautification projects. The number of projects and volunteers has grown each year since its inception in 1984 by the Sandy Exchange Club.

The Sandy Pride program involves neighbors, businesses, school and church groups who coordinate together to make Sandy a more beautiful place to live. Sandy City and local businesses provide the financing needed for the projects and devote time for cleaning up our community and celebrating pride in our city and neighborhoods. As always, bright green trash bags will be delivered to each Sandy home in April to encourage residents to participate in a project or to use the bag for cleanup or beautification in their own yard.

Volunteers are encouraged to contact Angela, Sandy Pride Volunteer Assignment Resource at 801-568-7254 for service coordination.

Sandy Pride has been awarded by the National Exchange Club as one of the top community beautification programs in the country.
