Sandy Pride Goals
Provide the opportunity for Sandy area schools to conduct a spring Sandy Pride project/program.
Design, order and distribute 40,000 Sandy Pride trash bags to Sandy and southeast county residents, businesses and schools.
Make trees and shrubs available for planting in the Sandy community during the year and plant a majority of those trees on Sandy Pride Day.
Design and make available a Sandy Pride patch for distribution to scouts and other volunteers working on Sandy Pride projects - must meet minimum criteria for earning the Sandy Pride patch.
Involve all the service clubs or volunteer organizations in our Sandy Pride community service projects.
Prepare a list of cleanup or public improvement projects for distribution to scout leaders, local church leaders, business leaders, and community leaders. Examples: tree planting, streetscape projects, community entry gates, fence mending or painting, vacant lot cleanups, etc.
In conjunction with Sandy Pride organize and assist with creating special community involvement programs, e.g., talent contest, special Sandy Pride promotion sales, auto shows, etc.
