Junior Firefighter Academy

by Sandy City Fire Department

Many children dream of becoming a firefighter when they grow up. To give kids a glimpse of what life as a firefighter is like and to teach kids about safety and injury prevention, Sandy City Fire Department is offering the Junior Firefighter Academy’s Annual summer camp. The academy is a three-day event for children 8 - 10 years old. (only 25 spots available).

The Academy includes hands-on activities about fire safety, using 9-1-1, basic first aid, the life of a firefighter, and much more. The final day of class is celebrated with a graduation ceremony, operating a real fire hose, and running through a combat challenge.
