City Parks

City Parks are also available for reservation for groups or individuals. Most have outdoor pavilions and many have restroom facilities (open during warmer months). There are two indoor pavilions available for reservation. For additional information about reserving a City Park or Pavilion for your activity and current pricing, contact the Parks Department at 801-568-2900. See Park details below.

City Pavilions

Pavilion reservations may be made 6 months in advance for the date requested. If the date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, you may come in on the preceding Friday. Reservations can be made online or in person at the Parks & Rec Office. Non-Sandy residents will be charged an additional fee to reserve a pavilion. To reserve a pavilion in person, please visit our office at 440 East 8680 South Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information please call 801-568-2900.

PAVILION RESERVATIONS

Pavilion Reservations can be made online or in person at the Parks & Rec Office. Non-Sandy residents will be charged an additional fee to reserve a pavilion. To reserve a pavilion in person, please visit our office at 440 East 8680 South Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

ONLINE PAVILION RESERVATIONS

Indoor Pavilion Online Reservations can only be made a maximum of 160 days in advance! Reservations also cannot be made within 72 hours of the reservation date.

Outdoor Pavilion Online Reservations can only be reserved during April 1 through October 15. Reservations can only be made a maximum of 160 days in advance! Reservations also cannot be made within 72 hours of the reservation date.

OUTDOOR PAVILIONS

LONE PEAK INDOOR PAVILION

This beautiful indoor/outdoor facility is located at 10140 South 700 East. The facility will accommodate 230 people, seating capacity would be less, or if used as a split room will accommodate 115 per side. Tables and chairs are included with your reservation. Two outdoor pavilions (one on each side of the building) also are available for reservation. Reservations may be made up to 6 months in advance from the date requested.

BICENTENNIAL INDOOR PAVILION

This indoor/outdoor facility is located at 530 East 8680 South. The facility will accommodate 80 people. Round tables and chairs are included in your reservation. One outdoor pavilion is directly behind this indoor facility.

Playing Fields

Playing fields may be reserved two weeks in advance prior to the date reserving. Fields need to be reserved in person at 440 East 8680 South Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Non-Sandy residents will be charged an additional fee to reserve a playing field.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Skateboarding, in-line skating, and BMX freestyle biking are "High Risk Activities". Wear a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards at all times. (Know your ability and skate or ride accordingly.)

2. The skate park is a skate or ride at your own risk non-supervised facility designed for skateboarding (34" maximum length), in-line skating (4-wheel maximum per skate), and BMX freestyle biking only.

3. The skate park hours will be posted at the entry. The Sandy City "No Trespassing" ordinance will be enforced when the park is closed.

4. Motorized vehicles, scooters, or other wheeled devices are not allowed within the skate park.

5. Inspect the surfaces before you ride them. Remove all trash, debris, and objects that may prevent a smooth safe ride. Report any damage of skate park surfaces to the Sandy City Parks and Recreation Department at: (801) 568-2900.

6. No skating or riding when wet, raining, snowing or during skate park maintenance periods.

7. Graffiti in the skate park is illegal and will not be tolerated. Keep the park surfaces clean as graffiti and abuse will close the park for paint removal and repairs.

8. This park has been designed for beginner to intermediate skill levels. Be courteous to others using the facility and other park patrons. Parental supervision is strongly recommended.

9. Profanity, reckless and boisterous behavior is prohibited.

10. No competitive or demonstration events or amplified music are allowed without prior written approval from the Sandy City Parks and Recreation Department.

11. Smoking, illegal drug use and consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.

12. Public restrooms and telephones are located at the scorekeepers building (seasonally).

13. Violations of any of these rules or regulations may result in closing of the skate park facility, prosecution and/or violators may be ejected and banned from the facility.
