Presidents Day Essay Contest

 

With Presidents Day just around the corner, we remember all the great presidents that have served our country. From Washington to Lincoln to Kennedy to Carter — each has made this country what it is today. 

If you could have lunch with ANY, president who would it be and why? What would you eat?  

What questions would you ask?  Here is your chance to get creative and have fun!

 

Rules are simple:

Write a short essay (250-word limit); must be typed and saved as a MSWord file or PDF. You must include your name, phone #, email, school name and grade level on the top of your essay.

Submit your essay to kmikhailov@sandy.utah.gov

Contest is open to students from all Sandy City Schools, one essay per student.

Deadline: Monday, February 11, 2019 (CLOSED TO SUBMISSIONS)

Winning students and their parents will join Mayor Bradburn for lunch at Sandy City Hall. Plus have their essays and photos featured in SandyNow! news. 

A total of three students will be awarded, one elementary, one middle, and one high school student.
