Here is a list of details to help you understand Short Term Rentals:

 
1.       On August 21, 2018, the City Council adopted Ordinances #18-21 and #18-23, establishing regulations regarding the operation of Short Term Rentals (STR) within the jurisdiction of Sandy City.  These ordinances go into effect 60 days after their adoption unless changes are made by the City Council.  Changes that were made to the City Ordinances can be found in the links below:

2.       A public meeting was held in the City Council Chambers on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 7:00 PM.  This meeting was a summary of the City’s policies and procedures in regards to implementing the new ordinances.  City Staff reviewed the application process, required documentation, and the regulations established by ordinance. 3.       A waiting list will be established after the initial application period on an as needed basis should any community reach its’ maximum number of allowed STRs.
