The court indicates successful completion of all the "plea in abeyance" requirements will result in a dismissal of the applicable offense. When and where is each class held and how long is it?
Alive at 25
On the third Saturday, each month
From 8:00 AM- 12:00 noon
Held in the Sandy City Police Training Room at City Hall
Class is approximately four hours long.
Driver Awareness Class
On the last Wednesday, each month
From 7:00PM-8:30 PM
Held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall
(except during February, when it is in the 3rd floor Multi-purpose Room at City Hall)
Class is approximately 1½ hours long.
How will the court know if I attended?
For the Sandy City offered classes, the class instructors send attendance and test results back to the court.
How much time do I have to complete the class?
You will have 60 days after signing the "Plea in Abeyance Agreement" to complete your class.
What if I need an extension?
Any extension request must be directed to the court. Ordinarily, extensions are not granted.
Are the classes offered in the Spanish language?
Sandy City does not offer classes in Spanish. However, the court handout of class providers has a number of offerings available for those needing a Spanish language alternative.
