Project Description

This project uncovers an existing box culvert installed in 2012 under the TRAX light rail line and connects the existing trail systems of Dimple Dell Park Trail to the east, the Dry Creek Trail to the west and the Porter Rockwell Trail that runs parallel to TRAX. It also ties in with a trail that runs along the East Jordan Canal. Due to elevation changes of these new trails leading to the newly exposed box culvert below the TRAX line, the project includes the installation of several retaining walls on both the east and west sides of TRAX. In addition, this project includes the installation of a box culvert at the East Jordan Canal to complete the extension of 10200 South, east to Beetdigger Boulevard and half width of this intersection. It includes the construction of a portion of Beetdigger Boulevard from 10200 South to the Red Sage Development on 10600 South. Underground improvements such as storm drain, water and electrical piping will be included under the new roadways along with a storm drain extension and outfall along 10200 South to Dry Creek.
